We are a collective of Readsboro residents committed to building a bright and prosperous future for our town.

Who We Are:

We are grassroots economic and community development organization working to build a vibrant future for Readsboro. We were inspired by RISE Erwin’s work to establish a “sustainable, future-focused” economy in their own region. We believe Readsboro is similarly positioned for collective action and economic development that benefits all members of our community. Together we can RISE to meet the challenges and opportunities inherent to rural communities in the 21st century.

What we do:

We take a four-pronged approach to community and economic development:

1. We produce free community events throughout the year including potlucks, a hiking club, and more. These events promote community interconnectedness and offer networking opportunities for otherwise disconnected folks.

2. We support volunteerism and engagement with local organizations and non-profits, including Readsboro Central School, WINGS Community Programs, and more.

3. We are researching the possibility of establishing a site for a community business hub and/or business incubator.

4. We provide free business mentoring and networking opportunities. We are a collective of members with expertise ranging from engineering to entrepreneurship. Through RISE!, we leverage our varied experience and knowledge on behalf of our business community.
